Better Accounting is a privately owned and totally independent accounting practice, based in the suburb of Boondall, on the northern side of Brisbane.

We specialise in providing year round accounting and taxation advice for small business clients as well as servicing individuals requiring end of year taxation assistance. This is done in a no frills manner and on a low overhead structure, to provide an affordable alternative to most professional services businesses.

The firm is owned and managed by the Cronin family, with Mark Cronin being the Managing and founding director when the business was first launched in a small Paddington office in 1999.

Whilst many accounting practices attempt to provide a “one stop shop” approach to client solutions, we believe that in most cases, clients do not feel that they receive the best overall and impartial advice in these circumstances, from an unfocussed firm. Our approach is to stick to the knitting, which is tax and accounting.

The taxation laws in Australia are rapidly changing and complex enough to make it difficult for even seasoned professionals to understand them fully and have all the bases covered. For this reason we avoid the temptation of entering potentially more lucrative areas of financial advice, in particular, financial planning and investment advice, risk management products, legal, nor IT services.

If needs in these other areas are identified during discussions, we have identified other colleagues in these industries who have built their own businesses on similar ethical and professional lines. You will find links to these persons by clicking our links button.

When you deal with Better Accounting, we ensure a high level of personal service – no client is merely a number to us. We answer and return phone calls promptly and enjoy the friendly relationships we have built up with both personal clients and the local small business community.
