Who Are We?

We are a dedicated small team of professional public Accountants based on the north side of Brisbane in the suburb of Banyo.

The business has existed since 1999.

Where Are We?

We are located at Unit 15, “Nexus@Banyo”, 23 Ashtan Place Banyo. Our street is fairly new and unless you have a new street directory or GPS, you might struggle finding our offices. Please refer to our Directions video. There is ample parking right outside our front door.

Why Deal With Us?

There is no point in boasting about how good we think we are, because nobody wants to hear it or even believes it. So suffice to say, we are solid in our technical skills; we do things without fuss; create value where we can, and generally make it easy for people to get a good result out of this area of their lives without paying the Earth. Our staff is committed to maintaining current knowledge on taxation and compliance issues, and we regularly undertaking cutting edge training on latest developments. Are We Expensive?

Most people experience some level of distress in their dealing with professional service providers (Accountants, Lawyers, etc) as the fees involved seem to skyrocket way beyond expectations. As well, some Accounting firms have an approach to pad out work beyond what the client really needs, and charge what they think the client can afford to pay. Is this sounding familiar? At Better Accounting, we have a low overhead situation allowing us to present fairer bills for an honest day's work. Basic personal tax work is performed at fee rates comparable with the “booth” providers but with far better service levels and professionalism. Small business work can be charged on a time basis or at a pre-negotiated fixed price. Our philosophy is to charge fairly, hoping that the clients return each year, which seems to be working for us.

Is It Easy To Change Accountants?

We try and make that decision easy also. Sometimes, it is a nervous time when you are unhappy with a professional firm that is not satisfying your needs, overcharging you, or just generally not treating you with respect. We can take the hassle out of that process by engaging the old firm for a professional handover of your files, at your discretion, to save you from possible embarrassment.
